Anybody watch the Kansas St. vs. Baylor game tonight AT Baylor?
I'm not actually writing this about Bruce Weber but I'm addressing the cynics out there that don't think we can attract top level coaching or player talent.
Baylor has been a really solid program the last few years. 13th ranked. Good recruiting. Well liked coaching staff. How many people were in the audience tonight,... maybe 1,000? There were only a handful of people sitting right behind the baskets.
How do we keep losing recruits to all these programs where there is little or no fan interest? Illinois is a great place for basketball,... we're still drawing a nearly full stadium despite not having a decades worth of sub-par B1G teams. Illinois is one of the best basketball places on the planet and when we get the right coaching staff this will again be a Top 10 program.
