Your thoughts on his game so far?
I understand that he missed the summer, is a freshman on a team missing a PG, probably doesn't have the best coach, etc...With that said, to this point, what I was hearing and what we are seeing don't add up.
I think he's at 40% on 3's, which is certainly good for a freshman. But if you take that away from him it's quite a struggle for him to score. He definitely doesn't have the handles to play point, and he can't seem to blow by anyone 90+% of the time. Really, really struggling on defense. Right now he's having a Jamar Smith freshman like season, but not shooting it as well.
So...he's probably not going to be the impact many thought as a freshman. Question is, have you lowered your ceiling yet on what he is a player ? I'm not there yet, but I'd be lying if I said I'm not a bit concerned
