Tough to go from seeing open practices to then the opening 30 minutes and just seeing stretches and warmups. I just don't get it honestly, but here we are.

Guys looked a little more up beat today, a little more pep in their step. Even Lovie had a little swag walk to him.

So today I watched over the offensive linemen and I like Bob McClain. Very detail orientated with what he does, especially with his drills. From what I saw from Butkus in fall training camp, he was more basic with his offensive line drills while McClain is much more detailed in his, which combine technique with their offensive plays. He focuses on the smaller details with their technique and it's trinkled down to the players who I noticed started coaching each other during the drills. Didn't see that last fall with Butkus.

Doug Kramer and Kendrick Green are going to have strong years in my opinion. Both look very fundamentally sound and Kramer looks like he's gotten stronger.

Vederian Lowe is still interesting to me. He has the potential to make it to the next level, but it just looks like some things don't click as fast for him. Was kind of the reason he lost reps to Jake Cerny in games. McClain was talking to him a lot today.

Richie Petibon looks to be picking up on the blocking schemes now, just needs to get in a little better shape IMO. He's definitely a downgrade from Allegretti (who had a great year), but he'll be a solid replacement.

Alex Palczewski looks solid and he can have a very strong year at RT. Looks confident with his technique and blocking schemes. He also looks like he's trying to become more of a leader on the line. He started off last season rough, but developed really well by the end of the year.

Also something to note, Miles Smith has been requested nearly every day by reporters, and each day we've been denied because he has "meetings" to go to directly after practice. Fifth day in a row, a little ridiculous if you ask me.
