Nik Scalzo

The spring of a prospect’s junior year is key for all recruits, but when it comes to quarterbacks, it can make or break a recruitment. College coaches canvas the country to watch quarterbacks throw in person and often decide whether or not to extend a scholarship offer. That’s the current process three-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons quarterback Nik Scalzo is going through, with several schools set to see him soon.

“Last week I had a chance to throw for Kentucky, Akron, Boston College and Cincinnati,” Scalzo said at Sunday’s stop of the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas. “Virginia Tech and a few others are supposed to be coming soon, too.”
