I’m curious other peoples’ experiences on this board regarding traveling to see UI play at different B1G campuses.
For football I’m missing: Purdue, Indiana, Minny, Penn St, Rutgers and Maryland so was thinking about taking a drive to W Lafeyette this Fall. Anyone been there for a game?
My favorite trip is Ohio State. Great stadium and, while their fans dish out relentless crap before the game, they are the first to congratulate you afterward if you can beat them in the ‘shoe.
I’ve found Wisconsin fans to be utter j*goffs in victory and defeat although their game day experience is really cool.
Michigan and Michigan St both run together although I don’t think I’ve ever as many empty pints and half pints then walking postgame through the rows of Spartan Stadium.
Nebraska stadium is great but tailgating leaves a ton to be desired.
I will say there is no better place to tailgate that I’ve seen (haven’t been to Oxford, MS or Knoxville, TN) than Champaign when the Illini are competitive. The endless open spaces around Memorial Stadium make it impossible to beat.
