Scott Turner, who played cornerback for the Illini and went on to play in the NFL for the Redskins, Broncos and Chargers, has been nominated by Trump to be secretary for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). During Trump's first term, he served as Exec. Director of the WH Opportunity and Revitalization Council. He served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2013-2017.
