I feel like when you combine the exciting frosh class becoming sophs, coaching upgrades, exciting recruits committed, Lovie beard and the huge donation / Illini fb practice facility progress to go along with by reports a very solid summer camp this may be the best feeling around the program since smacking around RGIIi in Texas bowl?! That’s saying a lot given we are only expecting 3-5 wins.
I know there was excitement for Lovie year one but I feel like we knew we were in for a long makeover. The fan base never really got on board with Beckman.
