I thought we were competitive with Iowa through two or three quarters, but we were 16 point dogs in that game so it's not surprising that we lost. We actually look like a football team with potential though, not a broken team that will never win again. So I'm looking at the schedule trying to see what our chances are. I see a few winnable games.

vs. Rutgers (I think this is a win)
@ Minnesota (I don't expect to win this one but I think we can compete)
vs. Wisconsin (nope)
@ Purdue (I keep reading how Purdue is amazing now so I'm not optimistic there)
vs. Indiana (I think this is another win)
@ Ohio State (nope)
vs. Northwestern (I don't know NW very well this year but they seem like they are struggling. I think this is winnable too)

So I like the three home games against Rutgers, Indiana, and NW. Forget Wisconsin and Ohio State. I don't love road games at Minnesota and Purdue but I think we have at least a chance in those games.

Three good chances to win, two no-chance games, and two longshot games? I haven't watched a lot of football but I'm seeing 4 or 5 wins total this year which would be an improvement. This team seems to be improving as we go, which is what I'd expect with a roster full of freshmen.
