That's where this team was after the loss to Purdue. Checked out and in a fog.
You can try to play your way out of that and can show energy in spurts. But every negative thing is amplified, and eventually you are back to just going through the motions. Your reaction time and awareness is lethargic. And fundamental things like closing on shooters, blocking out, etc aren't done instinctually.
Groce didn't find a way to get this team focused when an NCAA bid was still a real possibility, and that's very disconcerting.
