CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Four Illini are set to travel to Indianapolis' Lucas Oil Stadium this week for the annual NFL Combine. LB Jake Hansen, P Blake Hayes, DB Kerby Joseph, and OL Vederian Lowe will interview and work out in front of NFL scouts and front office representatives from all 32 teams.
NFL Network will provide television coverage of the on-field workouts. Lowe (March 4), Hayes (March 6), and Joseph (March 6) are all scheduled to work out on the Colts' field at Lucas Oil, while Hansen will be limited due to his injury that sidelined him during the Illini's season.
Illinois' four participants is tied for the program's most since 2003 when five Illini went to the NFL Combine. Last year, Kendrick Green became the Illini's first Combine invitee since 2017, but the event was not held due to COVID-19.
Since 1999, a total of 45 players have represented Illinois at the NFL Combine.
