But Rick George screwed us around for a couple months, and Whitman got the job late. Meanwhile the program has melted down well beyond "injury year mulligan" status.
So he is in a hard place - starting a job March 21 and firing a coach March 11 with no time to line up a successor. It is one hell of a first test. In my opinion he and the administration need to back up the truck right now and make a statement, but they failed to do that with AD so my expectations are low.
