The most likely scenario after this weekend is that Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson and OSU all will have won their conference title game. I think Alabama and Clemson are in the playoffs no matter what if they win this weekend.

That leaves OSU, Oklahoma and Notre Dame to fight for the two remaining spots. I have to assume the unbeaten ND will get one of those two spots, forcing OSU and Oklahoma to do everything they can on Saturday to impress the committee. My prediction is OSU will get that final spot over Oklahoma.

No matter what happens, however, this doesn't bode well for Northwestern on Saturday as Urban Meyer will have his team all revved up to run up the score on NW.

For more detailed analysis on this and other scenarios, check out what Nate Silver is saying on his 538 blog. He thinks OSU and Oklahoma will get the nod ahead of ND. I don't think so.
