Attendence is down and the fan base appears to be somewhere between anger and apathy. A ten year downward trajectory got the ball rolling. A cluster screw in football over the past 4 years hasn't helped the mood.

With the fan base losing interest, the situation got worse when 4 or 5 of the first non conference games were webcast. I know that Espn and the BTN control that, but it says something when our product has such low demand for the main channels.

The catalyst for me starting this thread was reading in the OSU postgame thread, how Coach Groce responds and shutdowns difficult questions. Nothing like getting the beat writers on your side when the season is bumpy. Someone mentioned in the thread that Coach is circling the wagons. I thought so also. This reminds me of Bruce Weber giving in to the pressure in his last season.
Plus it doesn't help that all practices are closed to the media. That gives beat writers less to write about, which doesn't fuel interest in the team.

All-in-All, not a good way to keep/get the fan base engaged.
