In Kentucky where college basketball is king....The UK Wildcats upset #11 Louisville at the Cardinals' home stadium to finish 7-5 and will be headed to a bowl game. This is the same Cardinal team (who are now 9-3) that earlier in the season decimated then #5 FSU and gave then #2 Clemson a close game.
As of this posting, Western Kentucky is killing Marshal 41-0 in the second quarter and barring any disasters, should finish 9-3. Not wanting to play them next year.
Meanwhile in the state of Illinois, we finish 3-9. NIU finishes 5-7, and Northwestern slipped from last year and finishes the regular season 6-6.
