University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign students have been a major part of the home court advantage our team has enjoyed all year. I'm writing to thank you for the tremendous support and invite you to our Senior Night game against Nebraska next Wednesday, March 4th at 9 PM. We've made arrangements to cover the cost of your ticket.
That's right, we want to give you a complimentary ticket to say thanks.
To get your ticket, all you will have to do is:

1) Go here: http://bit.ly/IlliniStudentTix
2) Sign into your student online ticketing account
3) Follow the steps.
You will receive a mobile ticket for entry at the North Student Entrance where we will give you a reserved seat for the game. Make sure to come to the game with your friends so you will be able to sit together. The only thing you have to do is be LOUD and bring energy to the game.
Once again, thank you for the awesome support you have shown all year. I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday night. Go Illini!

A complimentary ticket and food as a "Thank You" or a "We are so desperate for a win that we need every screaming fan we can get?"

I'm thinking the latter.

Should be a fun environment though. College students don't pass up free stuff.
