Finally, the big bowls are here! It’s mostly leftover day here for food. Tonight I’m grilling out chicken legs and we are ordering pizzas as well. I needed the break. Now for the games...(all times central).
CHICK FIL-A-PEACH BOWL 10-2 Michigan (-5.5) vs 9-3 Florida (O/U 50.5) 11:00am ESPN.
This might be my favorite matchup of the bowl season. Defense will obviously dominate the game. I got in on this game when it was Michigan (-7), which is good because I picked Florida to cover. Great game to start the day.
BELK BOWL 7-5 South Carolina (-4) vs 7-5 Virginia (O/U 54) 11:00am ABC.
South Carolina is more talented but with their best playmaker (WR Samuel) choosing to sit this one out, I think Virginia keeps this one close and covers as well.
NOVA HOME LOANS ARIZONA BOWL 7-5 Nevada (-1) vs 8-4 Arkansas State (O/U 56.5) 11:15am CBSSN.
Who cares. I guess I’ll put $25 on the over. But I ain’t watching.
GOODYEAR COTTON BOWL CLASSIC 13-0 Clemson (-11.5) vs 12-0 Notre Dame (O/U 57.5) 3:00pm ESPN.
This is another game that I bet on early when the line was -13. Looking like a good choice, because I have the Irish covering as well. I expect Notre Dame to do a decent job on defense but still fall short 30-21.
CAPITOL ONE ORANGE BOWL 13-0 Alabama (-14) vs 12-1 Oklahoma (O/U 77.5) 7:00pm ESPN.
I like the underdog to cover yet again. Hopefully this will be a fun back and forth gunslinger type game. IMO, the only way to beat Alabama this year is to score a ton of points, and Oklahoma can do that. But their D is dog crap. Alabama wins 52-42.
