It's spring. It's early. But it's never too early for football predictions! I went ahead and placed the opposing teams record and conference record to the right of the team, followed by my prediction, followed by my prediction of our record and conference record.
Let's have some fun, debate, and please join in and give your prediction.
vs. Ball State 4-8 (1-7) - Win - 1-0
vs. Western Kentucky 11-3 (7-1) - Win - 2-0
@ USF 11-2 (7-1) - Loss - 2-1
vs. Nebraska 9-4 (6-3) - Loss - 2-2 (0-1)
@ Iowa 8-5 (6-3) - Loss - 2-3 (0-2)
vs. Rutgers 2-10 (0-9) - Win - 3-3 (1-2)
@ Minnesota 9-4 (5-4) - Loss - 3-4 (1-3)
vs. Wisconsin 11-3 (7-2) - Loss - 3-5 (1-4)
@ Purdue 3-9 (1-8) - Win - 4-5 (2-4)
vs. Indiana 6-7 (4-5) - Win - 5-5 (3-4)
@ Ohio State 11-2 (8-1) - Loss - 5-6 (3-5)
vs. Northwestern 7-6 (5-4) - Win - 6-6 (4-5)
Yes, I'm a tad bit bullish in my predictions. Defensive line is a big question mark, but I like our linebackers and secondary versus last years team. Offensively, the line will be improved and we have Mikey back. Running game should be better than last year and we also add two freshmen receivers that can open up the field.
If I truly had to put my money on it, I'd say 5-7 (3-6), but I'm going to stick with the bullish prediction.
