Lovie is off the list. So who's on it now? I have....
Vanderbilt announced they will keep Derek Mason. Why? 27-46 in 6 seasons.
Will Urban Meyer be hired at USC. USC has a new AD. Is 8-4 good enough for Clay Helton to stick?
Matt Luke, Ole Miss, 15-20 in 3 seasons. He was a interim coach to begin with when Freeze was canned.
Randy Edsell. UConn. Total disaster hire. 6-29 in his second stint at the school.
Phillip Montgomery, Tulsa. Completely fell apart after 10-3 season in 2016.
Tony Sanchez. UNLV. How has he lasted this long? 19-40 in 5 seasons.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Akron dump Tom Arth after one season. 0-11. He's terrible.
Steve Addazio is an interesting one at BC. Wins 7 games just about every year, but never more than 7.
Bob Davie. New Mexico. 0-7 in the MWC. 1-7 the two previous years. He's likely done.
Will Muschamp probably gets another year at South Carolina, but his seat is heating up. Excellent recruiting class, including the No. 3 dual threat QB in the nation Luke Doty.
Mizzou probably thinks they can do better than Barry Odom, but I have my doubts. Still, he probably hangs on another year. They should crush Arkansas this week.
Tom Herman. Texas. They have high expectations at Texas, and Herman isn't really living up to them. They should beat TTU this week to go 7-5. He has to do a lot better in 2020 or else. He has a top 10 recruiting class coming in.
Florida State is the top job open. Who gets it? It could cause quite a domino effect if its a top coach. Matt Campbell and Mike Norvell seem like logical candidates to me if they want a head coach. Is James Franklin in the mix? PJ Fleck has a $10m buyout, so I'm guessing it won't be him.
Arkansas should be a stronger program. I would take that job in a heartbeat. Great fan support and facilities. Norvell and Cambpell have been mentioned. Lane Kiffin. Mike Leach. Les Miles. Seth Littrell. Luke Fickell.
