So how does Lovie plan to build a program here long-term by ignoring Chicago.? We have a 9,000,000 population base in the Chicago area, Lovie was the head coach of the Bears, his kid even played football at Lake Forest and all we can pull out of Chicago area is one stinking kid!!!
I get that Florida and Texas football is better than Chicago, but come on. We're not even close to bringing in top players. If we are going to bring in mediocre players, might as well be mediocre players from Illinois, at least they aren't going to be shocked and run home when the weather changes here.
I hope Lovie isn't counting on any support from the state football coaches when he goes 2-10 again. That ship has sailed.
