Illinois has major holes in the talent level and depth all across the team. I think this is especially true of both lines, especially DL after the SR's graduate following the 2016 season. This is where we need to make a huge improvement if they want to compete with the best teams in the league and it is going to take time to recruit and develop those guys. I will be closely watching who is the S/C coach and who will be the OL coach. The state produces very good OL but we almost never land them. I think Lovie will bring in good DL from everywhere. This is where it should pay off to have one of the elite defensive coaches in the NFL as your HC.
