It seems to me that the print media people that cover the Illini are , in general, very cautious about criticizing the coaching staff. After the performance in the B1G tourney, Tupper turned up the heat a little bit in his column, and Alex Roux at the DI did not bite his tongue.
I would have expected Loren Tate to be a bit more critical, but he was tame. The press pool is probably half or less than it was 10 years ago. So it's important that they aren't blind shills. Are the print guys intimidated by Groce, are they just being cautious, or do they not think that there is no criticism warranted? Your thought please.
