A few notes from the weekly presser:
- As previously announced earlier in the year, Mike Bellamy is suspended for this game for a a minor recruiting violation last February.
- Ryan Cubit will be up in the box this week, heavily involved in the offense.
- Joe Fotu and Caleb day are not available this week. Suspended for violation of team rules.
- According to Cubit, the community and alumni have rallied around the team.
- With Beckman gone, Tim Banks takes over the entire secondary.
- He made a couple of suggestions on the defense side. Talks scheme with Banks and Phair.
- Thin because of injuries, so starters probably won't play much on special teams.
- Jihad Ward is back practicing in the green jersey (no contact)
- Good day recruiting wise yesterday. Talked to all of the 2016 recruits.
- Hasn't spoken to Beckman, who is with his family.
