I posted similar questions in a few of the AD threads and did not see any replies (sorry in advance if there was an answer posted). Copying and pasting what I asked before.

Maybe this is an incredibly stupid question, but who is the go to person to give them the assurances from the university that things will be changed allowing a prospective AD to be successful and change the culture here?

Is that in the hands of the chancellor? President?

Basically is there one person who can facilitate this change? Or are there enough checks and balances in place that can make this impossible unless everyone from the top down is all on the same page?

Does the (insert whoever is the answer above) have the power over admissions, for example, to loosen up for certain sports/prospects? Anyone have any sort of insight into how this entire process works?

All I see is complaining about how the process and administration is broken and we need to fix it.... how can it be fixed?

I am obviously just someone who loves Illini sports and do not understand the behind the scene issues we are facing... anyone with any sort of insight into the whole process who can answer any of these questions would really appreciate some feedback.

Thanks in advance.
