I will say that there is a kid on Rockridge that absolutely could play PG at Illinois. And if he were the PG this year, we likely win a few more games.
Gentry Whiteman, the coach's son, is a tremendous player. Wow. only 5-11, but lightning quick, has the ball on a string. He was as good with the ball as I have seen in a long time. And, a great shooter as well.
If i'm the IL staff, i'd at least reach out to the family because he is the type of kid that would be the perfect back-up PG that would bring good minutes off the bench. Kedric is from the quad cities area, so i asked him about him. he said his dad is a huge IL fan.... And he also said he absolutely is good enough for a scholarship at IL as a back-up PG. Would just come down to whether or not he wanted to go to a BT school and play back-up PG, or go to a Bradley and start all 4 years.
Averaged 22pts/game as a junior this past season.
