This first list is in a very specific order. Please refer to www.kenpom.com as I am starting this list at the top.

1. Tony Bennett - Virginia
  • Year 1: 15-16 (5-11)
  • Year 2: 16-15 (7-9)
2. Jay Wright - Villanova
  • Year 1: 19-13 (7-9) (no NCAAT)
  • Year 2: 15-16 (8-8)
3. Mick Cronin - Cincinnati - Mick Cronin took over a program with essentially no players after the Bob Huggins fiasco
  • Year 1: 11-19 (2-14)
  • Year 2: 13-19 (8-10)
  • Year 3: 18-14 (8-10)
4. Matt Painter - Purdue
  • Year 1: 9-19 (3-13)
5. Mike Krzyzewski - Duke
  • Year 1: 17-13 (6-8)
  • Year 2: 10-17 (4-10)
  • Year 3: 11-17 (3-11)
6. Tom Izzo - Michigan State - Izzo took over a team that went 22-6 (14-4) the year prior
  • Year 1: 16-16 (9-9)
  • Year 2: 17-12 (9-9)
7. Chris Beard - Texas Tech - Weird how illifan is crapping on Underwood but gives his boy Beard a pass for a 6-12 year in the SEC last year
  • Year 1: 18-14 (6-12)
8. Bruce Pearl - Auburn
  • Year 1: 15-20 (4-14)
  • Year 2: 12-20 (5-13)
As you all should be noticing by now... this is an ordered list of all of the coaches with teams currently in the Kenpom top 10, minus Mark Few and Roy Williams.

Mark Few took over a Gonzaga team that went to the Elite Eight the year prior. Roy Williams took over a North Carolina team that had gone to the NIT the year prior, but had three top-30 recruits entering their sophomore years; the same 3 recruits that would carry UNC to a title over Illinois in 2004-2005.

Other coaches I'd like to take note of:

1. John Beilein - Michigan
  • Year 1: 10-22 (5-13)
  • Year 2: 21-14 (9-9)
  • Year 3: 15-17 (7-11)
2. Mark Turgeon - Maryland
  • Year 1: 17-15 (6-10)
  • Year 2: 22-12 (8-10)
  • Year 3: 17-15 (9-9)
3. Sean Miller - Arizona
  • Year 1: 16-15 (10-8)
4. Dana Altman - Oregon
  • Year 1: 21-18 (7-11)
Moral of the story: no coach in the history of college basketball has walked into a shitty situation and instantly turned it around.

I think the surprise to most of us is that we didn't realize just how crappy and dire the situation really was here.

So to the whiny babies on this board wanting an instant miracle from Brad Underwood: I kindly suggest you shut up and let him and his staff do their jobs.

Thank you
