Kid to watch right now in 2023 is combo-forward Davius Loury from Kenwood. Illinois will watch him soon, and if he keeps playing well he could become a priority target.
Obviously, Kyron Boswell becomes the top guard on the board with Fears headed to MSU. Most national people think Boswell stays out west, and I tend to agree. Illinois still working hard, though. I'll see Boswell next weekend at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass. Jayden Epps is also playing in the event.
Alec and I will be at the Highland Shootout tomorrow (Sat). I'm just going to the evening games to watch Kenwood, St. Rita, CBC, etc.
Two guys I'm most interested to watch are 7-2 John Bol from CBC (2024 kid that Illinois offered) and Kenwood freshman Bryce Heard. I've seen all the rest multiple times.
High majors might be kicking themselves for not taking Trey Pettigrew, senior from Kenwood. He's having a very good senior year. Still committed to Nevada, but not signed.
